What Mix Notes is

Mix Notes is a browser-based tool for annotating audio files with timestamped notes. It is provided free of charge and is supported by advertising. Features may be added, changed, or removed at our discretion.

Your account

A free account is required to use Mix Notes. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for the activity on your account. You may not share account credentials with others.

Your content

You own the audio files and annotations you upload or create. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store and serve your content solely to provide the Service to you - we do not claim any other rights in your content.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any audio you upload. Don't upload material you don't have permission to use.

Share links

Share links are public-by-URL. Anyone who has a share link can listen to the file and, if signed in, annotate it in their own library. If you share a link, you are responsible for who you share it with.

Acceptable use

Don't use Mix Notes to:

• Upload illegal content
• Infringe anyone's intellectual property
• Harass, defame, or harm others
• Distribute malware, attempt to break our security, or abuse the Service
• Scrape, mirror, or redistribute the Service or content you don't own

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, and we may remove content that violates them or the law.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your specific needs. We make no guarantees about the availability or persistence of data stored via the Service, though we do our best to keep things running and backed up. Back up your important files yourself.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, White Room Audio is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or business, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these terms or the Service is limited to $100.

Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time. We can suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason including violation of these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The updated terms apply from the date they're posted. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
